AT Learning supported AT Medics in attaining the highest achievements in Type 2 Diabetes care in England and Wales for 2017-2018. Recognising this landmark achievement, NHS Lambeth CCG commissioned AT Learning to deliver training and tools to help practices around Lambeth achieve similar outcomes.
The “Diabetes Improvement Project” in Lambeth launched in November 2018. Over 90 attendees joined the workshops spread across the borough, in a truly interdisciplinary learning setting.
Dr Tarek Radwan, GP Director & Founder of AT Medics and Omar Din, Managing Director of AT Learning, delivered the workshops to colleagues across London. The interactive sessions included a number of practical exercises to encourage participation and simulation of improving the care delivered to diabetic patients.
In addition to the workshops, a number of webinars are to be delivered to practice staff, to support implementation of the programme and improvements, and to ensure uptake and troubleshooting. Practices will also receive access to EZ Analytics, to allow monitoring and peer comparison of diabetes 8 care processes and three treatment target data.
The Diabetes Improvement Project in Lambeth has received many positive reviews, with 99% of attendees saying they would recommend this programme to their peers.
